Supervision (LPC Associate)

LPC Associate Supervision

There are plenty of LPC Supervisors in Texas. The harder part is finding one who actually helps you become the kind of counselor you want to be.

Supervision should be more than collecting hours and checking boxes. This is where you learn to trust your clinical judgment, manage client risk, strengthen documentation, understand your own reactions, and develop a professional identity that can hold up in real world counseling.

At LifeWise Counseling and Wellness, LLC, supervision with Stacy Hixon, MA, LPC-S, CCTP, FRTP is structured, supportive, honest, practical, and human. I take client care seriously, but I also believe supervision should include humor, encouragement, and space to be a real person while doing hard work.

What Supervision With Me Is Like

My supervision style is warm, direct, trauma informed, and grounded in real world practice. You do not have to show up already polished. You do need to show up willing to learn.

We will talk about the things that matter in actual clinical work:

Case conceptualization
Treatment planning
Documentation that is clear and useful
Risk assessment and safety planning
Ethical decision making
Trauma, attachment, family patterns, and nervous system responses
Boundaries, burnout, and self-care
Countertransference and therapist self-awareness
Private practice expectations and business sense
Professional confidence and clinical identity

I will help you think more clearly, ask better questions, recognize patterns, and develop your own voice as a counselor. I will encourage you, and I will also challenge you when needed.

Why Associates Choose LifeWise Supervision

I care about the kind of counselor you are becoming, not just whether you completed the required hours.

My goal is to help you become more confident, ethical, grounded, and capable of thinking clinically under pressure. We will work on the clinical side of counseling, but also the human and professional side: how to care for yourself, communicate clearly, avoid burnout, understand the business side of practice, and build a career that is meaningful and sustainable.

Supervision with me may be a good fit if you want a supervisor who is supportive but not passive, structured but not rigid, direct but not harsh, and invested in your growth.

A Good Fit

This supervision relationship may be a good fit if you are an LPC Associate who wants to grow, ask questions, receive honest feedback, improve documentation, strengthen clinical skills, and feel more prepared for independent practice.

You do not need to have it all figured out.

You do need to be willing to reflect, follow through, stay open to feedback, care for your own mental health, and take the work seriously.

If you are looking for LPC Associate supervision that is thoughtful, practical, trauma informed, funny, honest, and focused on both clinical growth and professional sustainability, LifeWise Counseling and Wellness, LLC may be a good place for you to grow.
